Clinical decision support (CDS) systems and alerts have the potential to help providers make sense of a vast web of medical knowledge, but most dont differentiate between information that is urgent and information that may be less immediately relevant, alerting providers to both trivial medical concerns and life-threatening circumstances, according to Aaron S.
