Danaher has signed a definitive merger agreement to acquire all of Beckman Coulter's outstanding common stock for $83.50 per share in cash (without interest). The transaction is valued at approximately $6.8 billion, including debt assumed and net of cash acquired.

General Dynamics Information Technology, a business unit of General Dynamics, has signed a letter of intent to collaborate with McKesson Provider Technologies to offer an EHR to the Department of Defense. The EHR can be used by each branch of military service to maintain a centralized record for medical beneficiaries.
