Pegasus rebrands as Accusoft Pegasus
Tampa, Fla.-based Pegasus Imaging is now doing business as Accusoft Pegasus following its acquisition of Accusoft's imaging business in Northborough, Mass.
Jack Berlin, Accusoft Pegasus president and founder of Pegasus Imaging, said the new name reflects the "synergy and strength of the combined company as well as its commitment to support both Accusoft and Pegasus customers. The Accusoft Pegasus customers benefit from increased depth of merged product offerings, innovative scientific research, and generous customer support as a result of this partnership."
In the last two years, Berlin said the privately held company has acquired two complementary businesses, purchased two additional Tampa real estate properties, opened an Atlanta office, accelerated research and development efforts and increased hiring.
Pegasus Imaging acquired Accusoft's imaging business, in December 2008. In January 2009, less than one month after buying Accusoft, the company acquired Tasman Software to expand its barcode offerings.
