Aspyra has entered into a non-exclusive letter of agreement with South Plains Biomedical Services (SPBS), allowing SPBS to represent and resell Aspyra's laboratory information systems, RIS and PACS to new and existing customers.

The Lubbock, Texas-based SPBS provides preventive maintenance, electrical safety, service agreements and performance testing inspections for healthcare organizations' equipment and performance. The company services and sells new and refurbished laboratory, medical imaging, biomedical and surgical instrumentation in the south central United States. SPBS customers include surgery centers, doctor-owned facilities and small hospitals, according to the Calabasas, Calif.-based Aspyra.

The 12-month letter of agreement became effective Feb. 3.
