The University Hospital of Bonn in Germany has selected Agfa Healthcare's PACS for an enterprise-wide implementation.

Agfa said its Impax was selected by the University Hospital to meet the needs of its radiology department. The project is supported financially by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (German Research Foundation). The agreement foresaw the delivery, implementation and integration of the solution into the facilities existing IT infrastructure to support the daily workflow and image management requirements of the radiology department, as well as web-based image distribution for the facility.

Impax is a web-deployable diagnostic image and information management solution, designed for enterprise workflow and productivity to hospital institutions, allowing integration into the existing IT landscape, according to the company.
