InSite One gains new NDMA customers
InSite One has acquired National Digital Medical Archive (NDMA) clients who have leveraged its technology for long-term image management in women's health to InSite One's InDex services.

The migration of the solutions confirms using the storage service provider model in support of large volumes of data, the compnay said. Initial sites include: Columbia Presbyterian Eastside Radiology in New York City; Derry Imaging in Derry, N.H.; ABC Imaging in West Covina, Calif.; Gwinett Clinic in Atlanta; and Victory Breast Diagnostics & Women's Imaging in League City, Texas.

Women's imaging, specifically breast imaging, faces tremendous cost and technology challenges for the retention and access over the long-term to meet regulatory compliance and clinical requirements, according to the Wallingford, Conn.-based company. While digital mammography exams can range from 60-120 MBs per study, emerging techniques for tomosynthesis can more than double these data sizes. Also, breast MR can exceed 800 MBs per exam. Combining these diagnostic tests with interventional guided imaging can amass large data sets associated with any particular imaging exam, according to InSite One.
