GE Healthcare has teamed with Hansen Medical to co-develop products that integrate the Innova x-ray platform with the Sensei robotic catheter system. The companies seek to further augment the capabilities of electrophysiologists to perform EP procedures.

Earlier this year, Hansen partnered with Philips Healthcare in a similar fashion to co-develop technologies for the EP lab.

The Sensei system allows physicians to position robotic catheters in difficult anatomical locations within the heart in a stable and controlled manner, according to the Mountain View, Calif.-based Hansen.
