Calgary Scientific has licensed its PureWeb and Resolution software to Optimed Software for integration into the latter's Accuro product line. It also allows for Optimed and Calgary to jointly market the integrated software through ‘software as a service' (SaaS) distribution model.

Through the solution, physicians can instantly access images and reports through their Apple iPhone, a laptop or desktop.

This provides physicians who order lab and imaging tests a secure Web-based inbox for the physician to receive and sign-off regional lab results and reports, with immediate access from the reports to advanced digital medical images stored in geographically dispersed PACS, according to the companies.
