Confirma debuts CAD prostate product

Confirma debuted CADstream prostate and shared enhancements to CADstream 5.0 last month in Chicago at the 93rd scientific assembly and annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA).

CADstream Prostate is designed to improve quality, standardization and efficiency in MRI studies of the prostate. Confirma’s application-specific product provides image registration, image alignment between contrast series and T2 images, and uptake and washout maps. The system also features MPR with subtractions, MIPs and prostate-specific lesion reporting.

CADstream 5.0 offers a scaleable solution across CAD applications; as sites grow they can stack additional blades onto the server to facilitate expansion and address the challenge of handling large datasets generated by breast MRI, Confirma said.

Confirma also shared that it expects to show liver, brain and orthopedic software at RSNA 2008.
