Amicas enters Australian market with new PACS ally
Amicas has partnered with Healthinc of Sydney, Australia, to bring Amicas PACS, Amicas Reach, and Amicas RadStream to the Australian market.
Amicas will offer its image management solutions to Australia's healthcare professionals through an exclusive distribution partnership with Healthinc, a provider of digital medical imaging solutions and radiology information management. The Amicas solution suite will be integrated with Healthinc's Occam RIS.
Healthinc will be distributing Amicas PACS Version 6.0, which introduces the Halo Viewer, aimed at increasing radiologist productivity and designed to improve the quality of reading, according to Amicas.
Also included in the partnership agreement is Healthinc's distribution of Amicas Reach, which allows radiology practices and departments to connect with referring physicians, and Amicas RadStream, which helps reduce medical-legal risk by automating and documenting critical results communications, Amicas said.
