Viztek unveils mammo PACS viewer
Viztek has introduced a mammography viewer that integrates with its Opal-Rad PACS, as well as any PACS supporting DICOM query/retreive, to display the results of mammography exams.
The new multi-modality viewer eliminates the need for a separate mammography workstation and utilizes the same image database as general patient images for streamlined image management and storage, according to the Jacksonville, Fla.-based company. It supports diagnostic quality viewing of full-field digital mammography (FFDM), CR and MR breast images.
The new mammo viewer‘s mammography features include Quad Zoom, chest wall justification with back-to-back breasts and measurement tools, and supports computer aided detection systems, which can be launched from a viewer toolbar. The new Viztek mammography viewer is configurable for simultaneous grayscale and color monitor capabilities, the company said.
