California HIE implements Axolotl health record
Physicians Medical Group of Santa Cruz, Calif., part of the Santa Cruz Health Information Exchange (HIE), has implemented the Elysium virtual health record (VHR) from Axolotl.
Using Axolotl's Elysium Exchange, authorized physicians are able to query community-wide data for a more complete clinical picture, according to the San Jose-based healthcare IT developer.
Axolotl said its Elysium VHR provides a view of the patient, allowing authorized physicians to locate, connect to and review a patient chart that is drawn from data in multiple healthcare systems. All available patient data is assembled using a record locator service to create a complete EHR. Authorized VHR users may also select specific data from a patient's health record and download it to their EMR or EMR Lite application.
