Unfors opens subsidiaries in India, China

Unfors Instruments has opened new sales subsidiaries in the emerging markets of India and China.

In India, the launch of the new subsidiary in Mumbai is being done in close partnership with Unfors’ long-term distributor, Rosalina. James Mazarello and Pankaj Sanghavi will be in charge of Unfors India’s operations, the company said.

In China, Liu Xin, an employee of Unfors for 18 months who has helped set up the sales subsidiary with Shanghai as its base, has been appointed general manager of Unfors China.

The India and China markets show a growth and a rapid increased focus on quality assurance measurements within diagnostic x-ray as well as on radiation protection, Unfors said.

In addition to its network of distributors in the Asia Pacific region, Unfors said it now operates now three offices under its own management in Singapore, India and China.

“The expansion and establishing of own sales subsidiaries in India and China will provide a closer relationship and a more efficient service to our customers and sales partners in Asia, geographically as well as in time,” said Carsten Browall, CEO at the Billdal, Sweden-based Unfors.
