MinXray scores U.S. Army CR contract for Vertx

MinXray has been awarded a contract with the U.S. Army to supply computed radiography (CR) digital x-ray imaging systems.

The Vertx features True Flat Path Scan, providing artifact-free images due to the design of the cassette and mounting of the phosphor image plate. The scanner only contains one moving part, yielding less complicated service and repair issues, according to the Northbrook, Ill.-based company.

The Vertx can be used as a free-standing scanner, or can be mounted to the MinXray PowerPlus portable x-ray unit and stand, which fold like a two-wheel cart providing unparalleled ease of movement in a compact imaging system, MinXray said.
